  1. Hello everyone! Wow, it’s great to see all this activity here. 🙂 Congratulations on setting up your CUNY Academic Commons profiles and making great progress last week building WordPress sites. Feel free to post more here and also to respond to other people’s posts as much as you like!

    1. This research question has great potential, Mir. It addresses really important issues. Whose societal expectations for language are you proposing to examine? In other words, how does age, gender and socioeconomic status affect whose expectations for language variations?

    1. This is a really interesting question Melanie. I agree with Moamer that a great way to narrow down your question would be to look at a specific region or even city in the United States. I’m excited about knowing what you think. 🙂

  2. Research Question: How far can work forces limit the use of Spanish speaking, due to it not being the ‘common language’ spoken among workers?
